In the name of God amen. I Tilman Kemper being sound in body and mind do make this my last will and testament. First I give and bequeath to my wife Dianh Kemper the whole of my estate of lands, slaves, stock, furniture for her to keep hold & enjoy during her natural life and for her to will and devise to whom she may choose and think proper. Second it is my will and desire that after the death of my said wife the whole of my said estate which may not be disposed of by her shall be sold by my Executors herein after named and the proceeds equally divided between my children Anna Bowyer, Benjamin Kemper, Sally Hardesty, Jonathan Kemper, Nimrod Kemper, Elizabeth Swigart, Polly Mathews, Nancy Marsh, Charles Kemper, Levi Kemper, Joel Kemper, Reuben Kemper, Miriam Goodnight, Peter Kemper, and the heirs of Thomas Kemper and their heirs. But it is my especial will and desire that the portion which is hereby given to my daughter, Miriam Goodnight shall be received and enjoyed by my said daughter and her children and in as much as her husband is involved in debt it is expressly hereby stipulated and ordered that her said husband Thomas Goodnight is not to receive or enjoy any part of this bequest nor shall any part thereof be applied to the payment of any debt due by him. Third it is my will and desire that the portion before allotted to the heirs of Thomas Kemper shall be first applied to the payment of a debt due by the said Thomas before his death to Samuel Swigart and that any surplus after paying said debt shall be received and enjoyed by the heirs of the said Thomas. Fourth I hereby appoint my sons Benjamin Kemper and Levi Kemper the Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former or other will acknowledging this as the only one. In witness where of I have signed these presents with my own hand this eleventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-two. Tilman Camper Witness: Wm. R. Morton H.
