Ralston, an unmarried man, being of sound mind and disposing memory and realizing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death and wishing to dispose of my property according to a fixed purpose of my own to make this my last will and testament revoking all former wills if any made by me. ITEM 1.....After my death, I first want all my just debts and funeral expenses first paid. ITEM 2.....Some of my children owe me some money and if it is not paid to me, I want the same charged against their parts of my estae. My son, Chan, owes me $70.00 and my son Lum owes me $65.00. If either of these should pay me, then it is not to be charged against them. ITEM 3.....I have advanced to my son-in-law, Roy Spillman various sums from time as follows: $10.00 for Wood, $10.00 for flour, $56.00 for medical service for baby, $5.00 for Potatoes, $2.50 to John Shepherd for Plowing for Roy Spillman, $50.00 to Specialist Doctor from Louisville for Roy Spillman's wife, $25.00 to Dr. Blades for the same purpose, $26.00 to Dr. Hartman for medical service for his wife, $83.00 for nurse for his wife, $43.00 to Mr. Taylor nurse, $35.00 to Roy Spillman for Hog. Check on Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank for $2.00 to Dr. Blades. If I collect any of this money from Roy Spillman, it is to be marked off, but what is due when my estate is settled I want my executor to collect it and put into my estate. ITEM 4.....I have given my daughter Emma Spillman, $300.00 paid by me on Roy Spillman's land and she is not to be charged with it when my estate is settled. I now hold a note of $100.00 against roy Spillman, dated July 15, 1922. If this note is not collected by me then same is to go to my duaghter Emma Spillman, and is not to be charged against her in the division of the residue of my estate. ITEM 5.....I have $1000.00 on time deposit in the Sulphur Bank, and a checking account also a deposit in the Bedford Loan and deposit Bank, of Bedford, KY. After my death, I want my executor to collect all of my estate and convert same into money as soon as it can be done without material injuiry to my estate and distribute same to my children share and share alike after decucting the advancements made as above set out. ITEM 6.....I will enumerate the estate I now have in addition to the above items of my loan in the Sulphur Bank. I now have in said bank $200.00. I have in the Bedford Loan Deposit Bank of Bedford, KY $125.65 and a government bond of $50.00 which completes my estate. At this time I have in my possession a feather bed that belongs to my daughter, Bell Powell, and at my death I want her to have it. If at my death, I have any other property other than money I want same converted into money as soon as possible and my estate settled as before set out. ITEM 7.....I feel like my son F. S. Ralston, deceased, got his part of my estate during his life time and my daughter Mollie Morgan, deceased, got her share of my estate during her life tie and it is not my desire their their heirs should have any part of my estae at my death. ITEM 8....I nominate and appoint my son William Ralston as my executor and request the Court that he be allowed to qualify without giving bond. his Attest: E. W. Tandy Joseph X A. Wright, Clerk of County Court for the County and State aforesaid, certify that the foregoing will as on the 27th day of August, 1928 produced in Court and proven by the attesting witness thereto and the Court being so informed declared the said paper to be the last will and testament of Joseph A.
