C. to Jackson, Moses, Deed Fleming Co., KY Deed Book W, pg. 207-8 This Indenture made and entered into this 5th day of february in the Year 1841 between James C. Jackson of Nicholas County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Moses Jackson of the county of Fleming and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said James C. Jackson for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and forty dollars to him in had of said:.: the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth convey and forever confirm unto the said Moses Jackson his heirs and assigns two certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the county of Fleming and state aforesaid on the waters of Fleming creek the first of which being the said James C Jackson's interest in the land of John Jackson decd (as one of the children and heirs at law of said John Jackson decd) exclusive of the Dower of the widow of said decd. and is known on the platt of division of said land amongst the heirs of said decd by its number 5 containing 12 acres reference to said platt of division of record in the county court clerks office of said county of Fleming will more fully appear, and the other lott being the said James C. Jacksons interest (as one of the children and heirs at law as aforesaid in and to that part of the lands of said Jno. Jackson decd which was allotted to the widow of said decd for her dower in said lands and the interest hereby sold and conveyed being one equal ninth part of said dower and according to an unrecorded division of said dower lot (the widow being decd) the said James C.s intrest therein is known as lott number 4 and contains 4 acres and eleven poles. Tho have and to hold the aforesaid interests hereby conveyed be the same more or less together with all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Moses Jackson, his heirs and assigns forever and the said James C. Jackson decd. being all the _the_ said James Cs interest therin) unto the said Moses Jacksons, his heirs or assigns against the claim, or claims, of himself his heirs and all other persons whomsoever.doth and will forever warrant and defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said James C Jackson hath hereunto set his hand and seal the date first written his James C. x Jackson mark State of Kentucky Sct I James P. Metcalfe deputy for J G. Parks clerk of the Nicholas County court do certify that this deed from James C. Jackson to Moses Jackson was on this day acknowledged before me in my office by said James C.
