Threlkeld, formerly of this city, but now of Flemingsburg, Ky., died at their home in that city on April 12, 1926. He was a darling little boy, with the kindest disposition and a love for everybody. No one was a stranger to the precious little darling, for, though only a baby, he would go to anybody with a smile. He always wore a smile, and through all his sickness and suffering, he never cried. He was his mother's pet and his father's joy, and to his little sister and brothers he was truly an angel brother - the flower of this little home in which he scattered so much sunshine, happiness and love. He had the kind loving care of those who worshipped him during his short stay on earth. Why such a sweet little boy should be taken, only God knows. Some time, some where, we'll understand. Little Roy H., Jr., leaves his father, mother, two little brothers, William and Saunders, one little sister Anna Moss, his dear grandmother, Mrs. W. C. Threlkeld, his Uncle Richard, who makes his home with this little family, and a number of aunts, uncles and other relatives to mourn his loss. The funeral was held from the home at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon April 14. Burial in the Flemingsburg cemetery on the hill in a beautiful lot overlooking the city. The services were conducted by Rev. R.S. Wilson of the Christian church, assisted by Rev. Johnson of the Methodist church. The remarks and prayer were beautiful and touching and nothing could have been sweeter than the songs, "Sweet Bye and Bye," "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," and "Sometime We'll Understand," sang by a trio of male voices, Rev. Wilson, C. M. Cooper and Marion Rhodes. Mrs. Marion Rhodes presided at the piano. The flowers were many and beautiful. Pall-bearers were Dr. H. S. Threlkeld, William C. Threlkeld, and Richard M. Threlkeld. A more touching and beautiful funeral was never held in Flemingsburg. from a Falmouth, KY newspaper dated April 23, 1926
