Emmons and Sarah A. Todd. Know all men by these presents, that we Jefferson T. Emmons and W. R. Hicks are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the sum of $100 to the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, and c., jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 8th day of June 1857. The condition of the above obligation is such, That, whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound J. T. Emmons and Sarah A. Todd of this county: Now, shall it always hereafter appear that there is no just cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
