All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Watson http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00029.html#0007196 September 4, 2011, 9:57 am Source: Original Probate Documents Online At Familysearch.org Written: July 30, 1838 Recorded: September 24, 1838 Fleming County, Kentucky Will Book F, Pg 194 In the name of God Amen - I Benjamin Reeves being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this as my last will and Testament - First I commend my soul to God my redeemer and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian manner Secondly I will that all my Just debts be paid out of my personal Estate Thirdly, after my debts are paid I Give to my beloved wife Jane all my real and personal estate during her life time for her use and benefit Fourthly - I Give to my son George One Dollar as his part of any thing that may be left at the death of my wife he having received in advance and to my daughter Anna Furgeson One Dollar She having in manner received in advance Fifthly - I Give to my son Benjamin fifty Dollars out of what may be left at the death of my wife - and to my son Austin the same in same way - and after the death of my wife I will all the real estate of which I die possessed to my sons James, William, and Ignatus to them and their heirs forever And whatever is left of my personal estate at the death of my wife after paying the above bequests shall be equally divided between my two daughters Elizabeth and Selby and Whereas I have a black boy named Jackson who will be free on the 16th of June 1842 My will as that he receive his liberty on the 25th of December forty one and till that time he is to be at the disposal of my wife for her single use and benefit and I hereby appoint my son James Reeves as the sole Testator of this my last will and Testament signed sealed and acknowledged, this 30th day of July in the year of our Lord 1838. in presence of Benjamin Reeves (seal) Nehemiah McDanald S.
