Mar. 3, 1843). He applied Sept. 17, 1832, age 74, from Floyd Co., Ky., declaring that he enlisted in 1779 under Abram Tipton, recruiting officer, in Shenandoah Co., Va., and served in the Western Regt.; Capt. Abram Tipton, Lt. Henry Dearing, Col. Joseph Crockett. When he enlisted he was living 5 miles from Millerstown and served 2 yrs. as Corpl. under Gen. George Rogers Clark at the Falls of the Ohio. Capts. Tipton and Chapman were killed by Indians in passing Logan Fort. He was pensioned May 17, 1833, as a Pvt. and applied as above for increase to Corpl. CAMERON family record (in German): Elizabeth, b. Oct. 17, 1785; Daniel, b. Dec. 13, 1787; Jacob, b. Feb. 5, 1792; Duncan, b. Sept. 5, 1794; James, b. Feb. 7, 179_; Mina (Mary?) b. Dec. 26, 17__; Felix, b. Oct. 17, 1798. March 26, 1846, Anna C. Cameron testified in Fayette Co., Va., declaring that she is 84 and a resident; is the widow of James Cameron to whom she was m. July 20, 1784; he drew his pension at Frankfort, Ky., and d. Oct. 25, 1838. Afterward she moved to Fayette Co., Va. On Mar. 26, 1846. Duncan Cameron, of Fayette Co.,Va., age 52, testified to the genuineness of the Bible record, etc.
