IRVINE -- Miriam Josephine Auxier, 88, of Irvine died today 
at Kenwood Nursing Home in Richmond. 

Born Oct. 18, 1911, in Floyd County, she was widow of James 
T. Auxier. 

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jane Nelson of 
Danville, Peggy A. Leake, of Richmond and Dr. Patricia L. 
Auxier of Killen, Ala.; two sons, Thomas A. Auxier of West 
Palm Beach, Fla., and Larry Auxier of Irvine; a sister, 
Lorena Horne of Prestonsburg; nine grandchildren; and five 
great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are incomplete at Lewis Funeral Home in Irvine.

IRVINE -- Services for Miriam Josephine Auxier, 88, will be 
held at 3 p.m. today at the Irvine United Methodist Church. 
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

She died Friday at Kenwood Nursing Home in Richmond.

Born Oct. 18, 1913, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of 
the late Americus McCullough Badgett and Agnes Harmon. 

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Nelson of Danville.

Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
