He was born on January 7, 1917 in Hippo, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Maude (Bailey) Hicks and had been a Plymouth resident since 1995. Mr. Hicks had worked as a security guard for the Valley National Bank in Arizona. He was a man that truely loved the Lord and was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed feeding birds and enjoyed people and was very generous friend to all. He is survived by his wife Bureda (Bentley) Hicks who he married September 21, 1995; three sons, Roger Lee Hicks; James E. Hicks; and Delbert Cletis Hicks all of Arizona; one daughter, Treva F. Hudson of Arizona; fourteen step children; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Exile Davidson and Rowena Halloway; one brother, one sister and four grandchildren. Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday from 5-8 PM and also on Tuesday after twelve noon at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, evening services will be held both nights at 6:00 PM. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the church with Elder Buddy Carty officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial expressions can be made to the Little Rebecca Church.
