This Indenture made this 30th day of October 1799 (word unknown). Tavener Branham of Franklin County and State of Kentucky of the one (part?) and Thomas Branham, John Branham, George Branham, Mildred Branham, Sally Branham, Lunsfield Branham, Daniel Branham, Francis Branham & Nelly Branham, all of the same County and State and children of said Tavener of the other (part?). (Word unknown) that for and in consideration of five shillings in hand paid by the said children and for other good causes and considerations the accepte (sic) whereof is hereby acknowledged & have bargained and sold (aliend?) and confirmed unto the said Thomas, John, George, Mildred, Sally, Lunsfield, Daniel, Francis & Nelly all the legal & equitable interest the said Tavener hath to forty eight acres land on Kentucky River below Cedar Creek being the same he purchased of William (Martin?) and port of John Crittenden. Survey together with all his Negroes, to wit: Pegg (sic), Charity, (Luce?), Parmelia and all their increase and all his cattle, hogs, horses & household furniture, together with all the profits & advantages thereunto belonging or in any (wise)(appertaining) thereto to the only proper use and behoof of the said Thomas, John, George, Mildred, Sally, Lunsfield, Daniel, Frances & Nelly and their (sic) heirs for over and the said Tavener Branham for himself and his heirs doth warrant and defend the right and title of the aoresaid land and premises and stock of horses, cattle & hogs and also the said Negroes (, Peg, Charity, (Luce?) & Parmelia) and household furniture to said Thomas Branham, John Branham, George Branham, Mildred Branham, Sally Branham, Lunsfield Branham, Daniel Branham, Francis Branham & Nelly Branham and their heirs for ever (sic) against the said Tavener Branham and his (assigns?) and the claim of all persons (claiming) by, through or under him.
