Submitted by Sherri Hall ldrbelties@earthlink.net 11-08-2003 From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 2 July 2002 STANFORD -- Services for Benny Ray Parker, 57, of Morris Lane will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Amy T. Barkman. Burial will be in Peaks Mill Cemetery, Frankfort. He died Sunday at his home. Born Oct. 8, 1944, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late John W. and Nancy Ann Clark Parker. He was a retired toll technician for BellSouth where he worked for 35 years and had served in the Kentucky National Guard, Frankfort Division, for 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Patty Reed Parker; a son, Zachary R. Parker of Stanford; two daughters, Michelle R. Parker Weigel of Junction City and Lisa R. Parker Gurkin of Orange Park, Fla.; a brother, Bob Parker of Bagdad; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Zak and Bob Parker, Ralph Burnside, Thomasson Smith, Rick Tucker, Ernest Hensley and Jeff Gurkin. Honorary pallbearer are Jack Casey, Johnny Coffman, Bill Garrett, Tim and Chris Moore, Scott Gardner, Johnny Sams and Jack Judy. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
