Sir you are here by authorised to issue licens For a marriage intended 
betwixt my daughter Martha Noble and Thomas Ray this given From under our 
hands this the 12 day of January 1826

Franklin County	This day Hugh Gillis made oath before me the undersigned 
that Wm Noble askd the above to be his act & deed for the purpose shown       
S	Hugh				Jany 12th 1826

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we, Thomas Ray and Hugh Gillis, are
held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the sum of 50L. 
To the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our
heirs, &c, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our
seals, and dated this twelfth day of Jany 1826	Now shall it always hereafter
appear that there is no cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above
obligation be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
