It was a very quiet wedding, owing to a recent bereavement in the groom's family, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gains were the only ones present. Reverend McCreedy performed the marriage ceremoney. Immediately after the wedding the bride and groom left for a short trip, and on their return they will go to housekeeping in their new home near Millville, which the groom has furnished very handsomely. Miss Gaines is the pretty and popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Gaines, while Mr. Shy is the manager of the Old Crow Distillery.
