Turning Back the Clock – Hickman Courier 23 February 1900 Messers. Charles Prather, Tom Flack and R. Davis of Woodland Mills attended the dance at the LaClede Hotel Tuesday night. Mr. Robert Cobb, a well known farmer and clever citizen, died Thursday morning of last week on his farm several miles from town. Mr. D. B. Bryant has accepted the position as night clerk at the Palace Hotel. The sad intelligence was received in Hickman yesterday Of the death of Mrs. Mary Milner, daughter of DR. F. M. Usher of Fulton. A double wedding was solemnized in the parlor of the Palace Hotel this afternoon, between Mr. L. H. Bacon and Miss Annie Jones, and Harrey W. Saunders and Miss Rosie Ballow.
