  Fulton voters cast only six ballots against an 
amendment to the state constitution concerning 
the distribution of school funds. 

  City and county officials were elected without 
opposition in the general election.

  Approximately 2000 people visited the opening 
of the remodeled Fulton Bank.

  Three small children burned to death and two 
were injured when the home of Thomas Dedman caught 
fire from the kerosene heater.

  Joe Hall resigned as football official after 
thirty years as head linesman and field judge.
