1953 in Fulton from Fulton Daily Leader by Eunice Mitchell October Twenty-eight warrents were served on local residents for unsanitary conditions. Two prisoners excaped from the county jail. Obion County' four member poultry judging team thre of whom were South Fulton students, won top honors in the state contest in Knoxville. A window fair sponsored by the Retail Merchants Bureau drew much interest. Aron McGough was tranferred to Evansville by the Bankers Life and Casualty Insurance Co.
