Alvie C. Mansfield, 78, a resident of Ellsinore, Mo., formerly of Hickman, died July 17, 1993, at his home. Born Dec. 4, 1915 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Noah and Evie Calhoun Mansfield. He was married to Lavonda Mansfield. He was a retired boilermaker and a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. Services were held at 2 p.m., July 19, at Strong and Cryer Funeral Home of Hickman, with the Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial followed in Brownsville Cemetery in Hickman. Pallbearers were Levis Scarbrough, Dennis Callison, Gerald Scarbrough. Richard Scarbrough, Steve Callison and Floyd Keith. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Edna Ruth Griffin of Branson, Mo.; two brothers, Elmer Mansfield of South Fulton and Cletus Mansfield of Troy; a sister, Jeneta Keith of Hickman; two grandchildren and a great grandchild.
