Hickman Courier - He died 9 Sept. 1985 ************************************************ Deaths - "Bo" Baker found dead Monday night ************************************************ John A. 'Bo' Baker 65, was found dead at about 9:15 p.m. Monday September 9, at his place of business at the intersection of Kentucky and Jackson Streets in downtown Hickman. According to a report, Mrs. Baker became worried about her husband and called some friends to go and check on him. The door to his business was locked but Baker could be seen sitting in a chair by looking through a window. According to the report, Baker was thought to have been dead most of the day Monday. Baker was born October 10, 1919 in Phillippi, Tenn. He was the son of the late Charles Thomas Baker and Anne Elizabeth Watson Baker. He was married to the former Estelle Poyner and was a veteran, serving in the Air Force during World War II. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, at Chaney Funeral Home the Rev. J. T. Neeley was the officiating minister. Burial was in the Hickman City Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife; one daughter, Jackie Weigandt of Memphis; one step-daughter, Sybil Moss of Memphis; one sister, Opal Higgins of Hickman; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
