  Charles E. Bowers, a resident of Fulton, died at Haws
Memorial Nursing Home in Fulon on Dec. 15. He was 92. 

  Services are today, Dec. 17, at Hornbeak Funeral Home
Chapel, with the Rev. Rusty Robinson officiating. Burial was
in Greenlea Cemetery. 

  Survivors include one daughter, Ann Holloway of
Bradenton, Fla.; one sister, Lucy McDaniel of Atlanta, Ga.;
and six grandchildren. 
 
  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary
Guerrant Bowers; his wife, Helen Henderson Bowers; one
son, Charles H. Bowers; two brothers, Joe and John Bowers;
and two sisters, Mary Collier and Irene McDade. 

  Born in Fulton County on May 14, 1911, he was a retired
employee of Railway Express and had lived in this area all his
life. He was a member of the Fultonís First Christian Church.
