The Paducah Sun - Feb. 25, 1966 ******************************** Charles Poyner Sr., Hickman Councilman, Funeral is Held ******************************************************* Hickman, Ky., Feb. 23 - Funeral services for Charles H. Poyner, Jr., 45, Hickman city councilman, were held at 2:30 p.m. today at First Christian Church with the Rev. N. T. Patton officiating. Mr. Poyner died at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Obion County Hospital, Union City, Tenn., soon after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Poyner began is duties as councilman in January. He was the owner of a fleet of trucks and was engaged in the hauling of produce and grain throughout the nation. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Poyner Sr. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary Ruth Poyner; a son, Charles H. Poyner III; two sisters, Mrs. James E. White and Mrs. John Baker, both of Hickman; and several neieces and nephews.
