White Rites Held Sunday at Hickman

   Mrs. Carrie Payton White, 76, died at her home on Troy Road 
near Hickman Friday.
   Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dunday at the First Christian 
Church, Hickman, with Rev. N. T. Patton officiating. Interment was
in the Hickman City Cemetery with Jackson Brothers of Dukedom in 
charge.
   She was born near Atwood, Tenn., the duaghter of the late Beverly 
and Samantha Williamson Jones.
   Survivors include four sons, Hafford White of Juneay, Alaska; Harry, 
Milvin and Henry White of Hickman; three daughters, Mrs. Neil Austin 
of Memphis, Mrs. Thomas Hooker of Hickman and Mrs. Franklin 
Lankford of Union City; four brothers, Roy and Elmer Jones of Jackson, 
Tenn., Hollis Jones of Memphis and J. W. Jones of Little Rock, Ark.; two 
sisters, Mrs. L. A. Akin of Jackson, Mrs. Nova Ross of Jackson; nine 
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
