Fulton Leader Jan.15, 2004 Herbert Allen Walker, a resident of Hickman, died on Jan. 8 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. He was 49. Services were on Jan. 12 at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hickman, with the Revs. Steven Turner and Hulon Warren officiating. Burial was in Hickman City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Billie ìRitaî Walker; a stepdaughter, Sharon Johnson of Fulton; four stepsons, Rodney Mitchell of Union City, Eric Mitchell and Thomas Mitchell, both of Hickman, and Michael Mitchell of Fulton; one sister, Helen Rogers of Landover Hills, Md.; four brothers, Harry Walker and Charles Walker, both of Chicago, Thomas Walker of Union City, and Glen Walker of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and 14 stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.B. and Katheryn Walker; a brother, Robert ìButchí Walker; and one sister, Monon Stray. Born on March 20, 1954, he was a horseman and farmer. He was a member of Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member of the male chorus until his health failed.
