From the Paducah Sun Friday 07-27-01 James Curlin Sr. - died 25 July 2001 HICKMAN, Ky.--Services for James Andrew Curlin Sr., 85, of Hickman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Strong Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Callison will officiate, with burial in Hickman City Cemetery. Mr. Curlin died at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton. He was a former Hickman police chief and a retired farmer. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his wife, Louise Chambers Curlin; one son, James A. Curlin Jr. of Union City, Tenn.; one daughter, Louisa Wooten of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, Marshall Curlin of Dukedom, Tenn.; one sister, Kathleen Arnold of Drakesboro; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. His parents were Zack and Maggie Curlin. Friends may call from 6 to 8 this evening and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
