  J. M. (Dan) Gore, retired farmer of the Crutchfield community, 
died at 9 a.m. Friday at the Fulton Hospital following a short 
illness. He was 87, and was born in Hickman County, March 29, 
1872.

  He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Joe Frame of St. Louis, two 
grandchildren and five great grandchildren/ His wife preceded 
him in death.

  He was a member of the Roberts Lodge No. 172 F. & M.

  Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Vernon 
Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. John Weir, officiating. 
Burial by Hopkins and Brown of Clinton was in Rock Springs 
cemetery. There was a Masonic graveside rites.
