Fulton Daily Leader - 15 January 2004 Randall Powell Brown, a resident of Van Ayer Manor Nursing Home in Martin, formerly of Union City, died on Jan. 3 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. He was 71. Services were on Jan. 8 at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City, with the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery near Dukedom. Survivors include his wife, Doris Brown; six daughters, Vicki Carr of Martin, Nancy Malmstadt, Normandy Stinnett and Debbie Jones, all of Colorado Springs, Colo., Ramona Owens of Wilmington, N.C., and BeJaye Ezell of Union City; two sons, Michael Brown and Eddie Brown, both of Martin; and 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim B. and Bonnie Brown; a son, Bobby Brown, and a daughter, Kathy Owens Posey. Born on Aug. 22, 1932, in Weakley County, he was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, where he worked for 24 years. He was a member of Union City Church of God and the United Steelworkers Union Local 878.
