Hickman Courier - "Turning Back the Clock" 13 July 1922 Eleven-year-old Sarah Rosiland Kennedy, daughter of Mrs. Brantley Turpin and granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. M. Hubbard of Hickman, died as a result of ether used during a tonsellectomy. Her death was one of a very small number reported resulting from reaction to anesthesia.
