Hickman Courier - "Turning Back the Clock"

   W. C. (Corman) Vance died yesterday afternoon
after a vain struggle with death over a period of 
several days. Mr. Vance, who had been at Baton 
Rouge for some time with the Mengel plant there, 
returned to his home here on Bond Hill some time 
ago suffering with serious stomach trouble. The 
deceased, well known to Hickman people, was 51 
years of age and had worked for the Mengel Company 
for 24 years. He leaves to mourn his untimely 
departure, his widow and six children.
