Robey Generation No. 1 1. G.W.1 Robey died Aft. September 15, 1920. He married Mary Underwood. She died Aft. September 15, 1920. Children of G.W. Robey and Mary Underwood are: 2 i. Barbara2 Robey. 3 ii. Brother Robey. 4 iii. Julie Robey. + 5 iv. Nora Robey, born October 9, 1888 in Fulton, KY; died September 15, 1920 in Hopkinsville, KY. Generation No. 2 5. Nora2 Robey (G.W.1) was born October 9, 1888 in Fulton, KY, and died September 15, 1920 in Hopkinsville, KY (Source: Death Record.). She married Walter Harrison Collins Abt. 1911, son of Daniel Collins and Missouri Cuff. He was born October 9, 1887 in Camden, Benton Co., TN (Source: Birth Certificate.), and died August 22, 1963 in Paducah, McCracken Co., KY (Source: Death Certificate. Death Certificate d vol 63, vol 041, cert 20050.). Notes for Nora Robey: Walter and Nora are listed in the 1920 Paducah (Kentucky) City Directory as living at 512 North 16th Street. Nora had lived in Paducah for 8 years since moving from Fulton, Kentucky, according to her obituary. (There is a possibility that Walter and Nora lived in Mattoon, Illinois during part of this 8-year period.) After suffering an attack of influenza the previous year (1919), from which she never completely recovered, Nora developed a disease called Pellagra (caused by a vitamin B-3 deficiency). Pellagra is a terrible disease and eventually affects the mind. She was admitted to Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on August 9, 1920. Nora died on September 15, 1920 at the hospital. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Fulton, Kentucky. She is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Fulton. Delbert Hazel3 Collins, born February 7, 1912 in Fulton, KY; died June 30, 1998 in Anaheim, CA. + 7 ii. Paul Thomas Collins, born October 5, 1917; died February 8, 1974 in Gary, IN. Generation No. 3 6. Delbert Hazel3 Collins (Nora2 Robey, G.W.1) was born February 7, 1912 in Fulton, KY, and died June 30, 1998 in Anaheim, CA (Source: Death Certificate. Burial: July 7, 1998 at Riverside National Cemetery.). He married Josephine V. Esposito June 8, 1946 in Washington, D.C.. She was born April 13, 1925 in East Haven, Connecticut. Notes for Delbert Hazel Collins: Delbert H. Collins (Del) was my brother. He joined the Navy in Lousiville, Kentucky on July 6, 1927 (when he was 15-years old). On November 7, 1927, Del was assigned to the battleship U.S.S. MARYLAND. From that date until December 1937 he was stationed in Long Beach, California. This was a very exciting time to be in Los Angeles and Hollywood. In December 1937, Del was transferred to the cruiser U.S.S. SAVANNAH at the Philadelphia shipyard. The ship was commissioned the following March in 1938. During the World War II invasion of Italy, Del's ship (the U.S.S. SAVANNAH), was hit on September 11, 1943 at Salerno, Italy. The ship was hit by a German early version of the smart bomb. The ship did not sink and was taken to Malta for repair. Later, Del served with the Third Fleet in the Pacific on the U.S.S. Pasadena. Del had a very distinguished career during World War II (and the Korean War that followed). During this time, Del rose in rank to become a Lt. Commander and was in charge of all gunnery on the ships assigned to him. After the Korean War, he became the port control officer at Long Beach, California. Del retired in Long Beach, California on September 1, 1957 (after serving 30 years). He made his home in Anaheim, California. Del passed away on June 30, 1998, and is buried in the military cemetery at Riverside, California. Charles R. Collins Children of Delbert Collins and Josephine Esposito are: + 8 i. Cheryl Lynn4 Collins, born January 4, 1947 in Washington, D.C.. + 9 ii. Randolph Vincent Collins, born July 8, 1954 in Quantico, Virginia. 7. Paul Thomas3 Collins (Nora2 Robey, G.W.1) was born October 5, 1917, and died February 8, 1974 in Gary, IN (Source: Death Certificate.). He married Ann Hazelbauer. Notes for Paul Thomas Collins: Paul Collins was my brother. Early in his career, he worked on the Pickwick and Kentucky Dams located on the Tennessee River. At the beginning of World War II, Paul worked for my father (Walter H. Collins) in Evansville, Indiana. They were building LSTs for the war effort. In 1944 (the war ended in August 1945), Paul enlisted in the Navy. After the war, he worked in the steel mills in Gary, Indiana. Paul passed away in Gary, Indiana on February 8, 1974 and is buried there. Charles R. Collins Child of Paul Collins and Ann Hazelbauer is: 10 i. Judith Ann4 Collins. Generation No. 4 8. Cheryl Lynn4 Collins (Delbert Hazel3, Nora2 Robey, G.W.1) was born January 4, 1947 in Washington, D.C.. She married Larry Dale Petrucelli May 4, 1968 in Anaheim, CA. Children of Cheryl Collins and Larry Petrucelli are: 11 i. Anthony Marcus5 Petrucelli, born October 14, 1972 in Los Angeles, CA. 12 ii. Michael Lawrence Petrucelli, born September 23, 1973 in Los Angeles, CA. 9. Randolph Vincent4 Collins (Delbert Hazel3, Nora2 Robey, G.W.1) was born July 8, 1954 in Quantico, Virginia.
