Fulton Paper, 26 Oct 1904 WEDDING LAST NIGHT Mr. Erle Boone and Miss Clara Stevenson Happily United At the home of the bride last night at 8:30 Miss Clara Stevenson was united in marriage to Mr. Erle Boone. Rev. Hamp McLeskey of the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiating in his usual pretty style. The ceremony took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Em Stevenson near Enon Church or between there and Water Valley. Miss Clara is the second daughter to wed lately. Mr. Sam Bard, Jr. being the first lucky man to get a bride from this excellent family. They came to town soon after the ceremony and were rendered a reception by the bride's uncle, Wes Stevenson, on Third Street and at midnight the newly wedded pair took the train for St. Louis to spend their honeymoon at the Fair. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bard, Jr. Quite a number of fine presents were received last night by the young couple. They will go to housekeeping in the old Boone home place near Water Valley in conjunction with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boone. Mr. Boone is a son of Mrs. A. B. Boone and a brother of Mrs. Birdie Whelen of this place. He lost his father last spring. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Whelen, Mr. and Mrs. A. .L. Martin, Miss Eunice Meacham, Clifford Granberry, Mrs. Will Robinson, Misses Stella Robertson and Anna Neely attended the marriage and reception. ******************************* Submitted by Mary Louise Gossum
