William (Mac) Lonnie McClannahan passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010. He 
was 93 years of age. Mac was the husband of the late Katie DiGiovanni 
McClannahan, Dorthy Armstrong McClannahan and Leola Stewart McClannahan. 
Father of Jeanette Martin (Hirriam) of Horn Lake, MS and Billy T. McClannahan 
of Cross, SC. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great-grand-children. 
Mac was born in Fulton, Kentucky. Prior to World War II he enlisted in the 
C.C.C. and served honorably with Company 575. He was a resident of Waggaman, 
LA for 50 years. He worked for Avondale Shipyards and retired in 1981. Mac was 
a dedicated member of Bridge City Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. 
In August 2005, Mac's family and the community of Southaven, MS welcomed him 
with open arms. He became a member of the Desoto Woods Baptist Church where he 
met many new and dear friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited 
to attend the Funeral Service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., 
Marrero, LA on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Interment Restlawn Park 
Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until funeral
