   The Hickman basketball squads elected David 
Marshall as captain of the boy's team and Selma 
Townsend as captain of the girl's team. Those 
Looking forward to a successful season are David 
Marshall, Harold Ray, Paul Hardin, Charles Stahr, 
Elvis Stahr, James Calvin Robert Travis and Kelly 
Naylor.
   Among the girl's are Selma Townsend, Nell White, 
Mary Wood, Frances Johnson, Mary Brown, Mary 
Emma Nohsey, Louise Stone and Rose Pyle.

   Candidates for cheerleaders tried out at chapel 
Monday. The candidates were Mildred Williams, H. L. 
Provow, Martha Harrison, Agnes Ruter and Robert 
Kelly. Mildred Williams and Robert Kelly were 
Elected.
