Whayne being in good mental condition and capable of disposing of my real and personal effects, do make this my last will and testament, bequest that after my funeral expenses and indebtedness is paid I will that my wife, Virginia M. Whayne be given my house and lot on the corner of Third and College Street where I now reside together with household furniture thereunto belonging same to be hers during the time she remains my widow, or until her death, in case she should marry again and at the time of her remarriage or death such property to go to any bodily heirs of their children. I also give to my wife one thousand dollars to come out of my property either personal or real estate, as such amount may accrue from proceeds of my farm or otherwise, and after she has paid the amount stipulated ($1000.00)the balance of property personal and real to be divided equally between my children W. A. Whayne, Lelia W. Humphry, Hattie Burnett, Lucy Mott Miller and Trevor Whayne share and share alike, but should either of my children die without children, then their share in my estate be divided between my other children or their heirs, should I die before my land is all paid for, I would suggest that it remain together and operated until it can be paid for, from the proceeds of sold not less than sixty dollars per acre and should he be living I suggest that Edward Ligon direct and advise the running of my farm until it pays out of debt. I also suggest that my children raise the money by mortgaging the farm or otherwise to pay balance of purchase price and the amount stipulated to my wife, or hold the farm until those debts are canceled or Trevor Whayne shall become of age, could my property be arranged with an administrator I would greatly prefer it, should one be necessary would prefer a responsible man chosen by my heirs and not in any way related to me or any of my heirs.
