WILL of George W. Thomas Fulton County, Kentucky - Will Book #1, page 179 ***************************************** County of Fulton, State of Kentucky - April 14th, 1882 I, G. W. Thomas of the County and State above being in my right mind and fully understanding what I am doing and knowing the uncertainity of this frail and transitory life do hereby make this my last will and testament revoking all others heretofore made by me. 1st - I bequeath my body to the earth from whence it came, my soul to God who gave it. 2nd - That I will to my wife Elizabeth M. Thomas all of personal property of every description to be used by her for the maintainance of herself and children. 3rd - That my wife take charge of and rent out or use to best advantage the two tracts of land this day Deed to my three children as follows: Sallie Thomas, Elizabeth Carrie Thomas (my two daughters) and my son Dick Thomas and use the proceeds for their use and benefit until they become Twenty One years of age. Also, a house and lot in the town of Fulton this day deeded to the three children before mentioned known as the Pat Collins property to be rented out & the proceeds used in like manner for maintaining & educating said children. 4th - That after my death my wife may take charge of all my affects of a personal nature and sell either at public sale or Privately any or all the stock or other property and manage all things as she may think best and the proceeds of all such sales to be kept and used by her as she pleases for the use and benefit of herself and children. 5th - That it is my expressed desire that my wife not be required to give any bond of any kind in any way for the faithful performance of any and all things named in this will but left to act as she pleases as I might of done if I was living and managing my own affairs. I waiving all legal requirements that is usually required of persons taking charge of deceased persons estate thereby saveing expense and posts and annoyances that such a course might subject her too. 6th - That my wife shall not be required to go to Court at any time to make any report of any transactions in carrying out this my will and that she shall not be required to keep any account of anything that may come into his hands but free to act in all things as she please in all things having full confidence in her to believe that she will do the best she can under all circumstances.
