WIIL of JOSEPH REED LUTEN Fulton County, Ky. - Will Book #1, page 561 ************************************ Fulton County Court Regular Term Oct. 10th, 1921 The foregoing last will and testament of Dr. Joseph Reed Luten was at this term of court in due form of law proven to be entirely in the hand writing of said Joseph Reed Luten, and to be the last will and testament of Joseph Reed Luten, and the same is now ordered to probate and to be recorded as such last will and testament which is now done accordingly. I, Joseph Reed Luten do make this my last will and testament, this the 6th day of Nov. 1918. 1st - I will to my beloved wife all of my house hold and kitchen furniture, my horse and buggy and twenty-five dollars, it is my will that she occupy the home for one month after my death if she wishes without rent. 2nd - I will to my son Samuel David Luten the sum of one dollar and his note executed to for ($1500.00) Fifteen Hundred dollars, I direct shall be delivered to him cancelled. 3rd - To my daughter, Mary Eason, I will the store house on Lake Street, Fulton, Ky., also eight shares of bank stock of the City National Bank of Fulton, Ky., also I will that my office room upstairs in the building on Lake Street now used as an office by me shall be used by my son Horace Luten for an office on the payment of the sum of Sixty Dollars($60.00) per year to my daughter so long as she owns the building, this bequest to my daughter shall be free from any control whatever of her husband. 4th - I will to my son, Wiley Read Luten, fifteen hundred ($1500.00) dollars in U.S. Liberty loan registered bonds, also three hundred dollars in U. S. Savings stamps Registered should I own them at my death. 5th - I will to my son Horace Luten, my home place on the corner of Carr and 3rd Street, Fulton, Ky., also my office furniture, Instruments and medicine. 6th - I will to my daughter Pearl Luten, wife of S. D. Luten the sum of five hundred dollars, in case of her death, this bequest shall be paid to her daughter Christine Briggs. 7th - The remainder of my estate after these bequests are paid and my contracts and all indebtedness settled and all money due me collected, a suitable monument erected at my grave should there be any left, I will shall be distributed to my great grand children that survive me, share and share alike. 8th - It is my will that my son Horace Luten shall be my executor without bond, to carry out this my will.
