WILL OF Mrs. LOUISA A. NANNEY ******************************* Fulton Co., Kentucky - Will Book #2, page 253. Know all men by these presents: That I, Mrs. Louisa A. Nanney, a widow, and a resident of Fulton, Fulton Co., Kentucky, do make and publish this type written paper as my last will and testament, and by this set do hereby revoke any other will by me made, to-wit: 1st - At my death, it is my desire that my Executor pay all my just debts, expenses of my last illness, funeral expenses, doctor's bills, if any, and any other just undebtedness and including undertaker's bills from any money which I may have in bank or that may arise from the sale of any part of my estate as hereinafter set out. 2nd - To my grand-daughter, Nancy Lee Nanney, I hereby will and bequeath marble top antique dresser. 3rd - To my grandson, William Grogan Nanney, I hereby will and bequeath my dresser with oblong mirror; also my checker board stand table which has three short legs and a round top, and I also will him the lady picture in a brass frame. 4th - I will to my daughter, Mrs. Florence E. Fraley, the picture of her father, Captain Nanney, and which is now hanging on the wall over the mantle in the front room. I also will her the large wooden bed-stead in the front room and the feather mattress. 5th - To my grandson, Dale Nanney, I hereby will and bequeath his father's enlarged picture and which is now hanging on the wall of my front room in the south west corner of the room, and I also give him a small yellow bedstead now in my dining room and which is to be the exclusive property of his present wife. 6th - To my daughter-in-law, Mrs. Altie Grogan Nanney, I hereby will and bequeath the picture St.Cecilia, a picture showing a lady seated with a halo over her head and looking at three cherub angels. 7th - I hereby will and bequeath to my granddaughter, Mrs. Dr. McCullen of West Virginia, her enlarged picture, now hanging on my front room wall on the south side of the room, also my chiffoner with small mirror, some small drawers and three or four large ones and now furnished in a dark color. 8th - It is my desire that all of my bedding, two feather beds, sheets, quilts, blankets, pillows, slips, bolster slips, towels, table linen and all other household goods not mentioned herein or heretofore disposed of be advertised as is required by law of legal sales or personal property and sold to the highest and best bidder for cash and the proceeds of said sale to be for the benefit of my estate. 9th - It is my desire and I hereby so will that my house and lot, which is 172-1/2 feet long, east and west, by 61-1/2 feet wide, north and south, located in the south west intersection of College and Green Streets, Fulton, Fulton County, Kentucky; and now used by me as a home, be sold to the highest and best bidder for cash or on notes for part payment with lein on property to secure their payment, provided at least one-third is paid in cash, after due advertising said sale by written or typed handbills in ten or twenty places in Fulton, Ky. One to be at the City Hall front door, and one at the post-office and others at numerous places in and around the city. No newspaper advertising shall be necessary, be may be done if the heirs and Executor should be of the opinion that such was necessary. Such advertising should give the time, terms and place of sale. When the sale is made and the proceeds collected, the Executor shall have power to make deed to the purchaser. The proceeds shall enure to the benefit of my estate, and when all indebtedness is paid the remainder of said estate shall be divided equally between my daughter, Mrs. Florence E. Farley and my two grandsons, William Grogan Nanney and Clarence Dale Nanney, giving to each the same amount. 10th - I hereby nominate, J. F. Royster of Fulton, Kentucky, as the Executor of this my last will and testament, and hereby ask the Court to appoint him as such, and that he be allowed to qualify without giving bond. CODICILE No.1 Provisions set out in Section No. 9 of the above will are hereby revoked and are to be held for naught and in lieu of provisions set out in Section No. 9 it is hereby provided and substituted for said Section No. 9, that at my death my home place including all buildings and improvements shall go to and become the property of my daughter Mrs. Florence Fraley, in fee simple, forever, and she shall have power to sell or dispose of same as she may see fit at my death.
