WILL of MATILDA ELIZABETH THOMAS Fulton County, Kentucky - Will Book #1, page 198 ***************************************** County of Fulton, State of Kentucky, August 12th, 1887 I, Matilda Elizabeth Thomas of the Co., & State above being of sound in mind but feeble in health & knowing the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, and being anxious to do all in my power to provided for the future welfare of my (3) three little children to wit: Sallie Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas and Richard Thomas make this my last will and testament revoking all others heretofore by me made. 1st - I bequeath my body to mother earth from whence it came, my soul to God who gave it. 2nd - I bequeath to my three children above named all of my worldly possession of every kind, both personal and real estate equally that I know have or may have hereafter have for their sole use and benefit. 3rd - That my real estate be reserved and not sold and kept in best possible condition until the youngest one living shall become of age (21) twenty-one years then full and complete possession be given the supervisors of my (3) three children named above. 4th - That all my house and lands be rented out to the best advantage and the proceeds go to keeping up the property and the balance for the support of the children. 5th - That there shall be no public sale of my household or farming tools but be disposed of privately those things that are of no use at present for children all of my house keeping goods to be kept for the children as they know are for their use and benefit. 6th - That my brothers George, William and Joseph Wooldridge act as executors of this my last will and do as best they can to carry out my wishes and to act as Guardian for the (3) three children look after their property and interests and do the best to educate and care for the children he possibly can for the means at his disposal. 7th - That no bond be required of them having full confidence in his integrity and ability to do the best he can for the children. 8th - That all contracts that I have made be carried out to the letter until they expire. 9th - That my brothers and sisters take care of and raise and have educated and control my (3) children to the best of their ability as brothers and sisters. Attest: 10th - That the burial ground on the home tract of land west of the house on the west line of the tract to contain 20 by 50 feet be reserved for all time to come for the purposes now used as my mother, Father, husband and sisters are buried there and my wish is that it shall forever remain as a burying ground for our family & in order that the grass may never be disturbed in any way by any person whatever. 11th - Now in conclusion I insist that my (3) children be made eaual at the age of (21) for the youngest living in every respect as to property that may be on hand.
