DEEDS: Breeden, 1847, Gallatin Co submitted by "Phyllis Hill" GALLATIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY DEEDS Book M, p. 309 This Indenture entered into and concluded this 31st day of August 1847 between John McDanell of the County of Gallatin and State of Kentucky of the first part and Andrew Breden of the County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the said John McDanell and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and five dollars paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell alien and convey unto the said Andrew Breden a certain tract or parcel of land lying on the waters of Lick Creek in the County and state aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit, commencing at two beech trees at the mouth of the Thrailkill branch, thence up the meanders of said branch N 1½ W (p. 310) 20 poles to a stake thence N 13 W 32 poles thence 25½ W 17 poles to Grahams corner a hickory sugar tree and sycamore, thence S 70 W 63 poles to a stone in Thompson’s line, thence S 31 E 58 poles to two ironwoods on the side of the creek thence N 75 E 57 poles to the beginning containing by survey 23 acres 3 roods and 13 poles, be the same, more or less, unto him the said Andrew Breden his heirs or assigns to their proper use and behoof forever. And the said John McDanell and his wife Sarah their heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the above land and premises against the claim or claims of any person or persons forever. In testimony whereof the said John McDanell and Sarah his wife have set their hands and seals, day and date above written.
