Know all men by these presents that I Milly Foley widow of Balis Foley decd
in my own right and as Guardian to Mariah Foley Hulda Foley Elen Foley
Elizabeth Foley Balis Foley and Pamela Foley children and infant heirs of
Balis Foley late of Gallatin County & State of Kentucky deceased have
nominated constituted and appointed and by these presents do nominate
constitute and appoint Andrew Ross of the same County and State my true and
lawful attorney for me in my own right & as Guardian of the infant heirs of
my late husband Balis Foley decd to ask demand recover and receive of the
Executor or Administrator of James Foley late of Fauquire County in the
State of Virginia or any other Person or Persons resident in the S. State
of Virginia all Such Sums of Money or Personal Property as I in my own
right or as Guardian of the infant children of the Said Balis Foley decd
may be entitled to in Right of the Said Balis Foley decd from the Estate of
the said James Foley decd and in case the Persons having the Said money &
Estate or any part thereof in possession should refuse to pay over and
deliver the same to my said attorney I do hereby empower him to commence
and prosecute suit or suits for the recovery thereof in my name hereby
granting him a full and ample power therefor as I might or could exercise
were I personally present.  And I do further empower my said attorney upon
the receipt of the whole or any part of the money or Estate to grant full
and complete acquittances and discharges for the same in my name, hereby
ratifying & confirming all and whatsoever my said attorney may lawfully do
or cause to be done in the premises.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand & Seal this 9th day of October 1826.
