WILL: Gardner, 1845, Gallatin Co submitted by "Phyllis Hill" GALLATIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY PROBATE RECORDS Will, Zechariah Gardner I Zechariah Gardner of the County of Gallatin and State of Kentucky being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory I do make and publish this as my last will and testament in a manner and form following: (Viz) First my will is that all my Just debts are paid. Second, after all my Just debts are paid I will unto my beloved wife Margaret Gardner, all my real and personal estate, to her own proper use, as long as she remains my widow, and in case my said wife should marry, my will is that she shall have one third part of my estate, and the remainder shall be equally divided among my children as follows (viz) John M. Gardner, Zechariah S. Gardner, Marshall B. Gardner, Sarah Jane Gardner, Amanda Harriett Gardner, Ephraim A. Gardner, Susan P. E. Gardner, Samuel H. Gardner, Fielding S. Gardner, William N. Gardner. And at my beloved wife's decease, my will is that all my real and personal estate shall be equally divided among my above named children, when the youngest child becomes of age. I will unto John M. Gardner out of my estate fifteen dollars more than those children that has left my protection. I will unto Ephraim A. Gardner, one sorrel colt, to make him equal with those that has left me. I will unto Susan P. E. Gardner one bed and one Cow, the cow to be worth ten dollars, to make her equal with those that has left me. I will unto Samuel H. Gardner, Fielding S. Gardner, William N. Gardner, one bridle and saddle each, to be worth thirty five dollars to make them equal with those children that has left me, as they become of age. Let it be understood that this last provision is made for equality, and these last named children is to have that much more than the rest out of my estate. I will unto James E. Gardner, Sarah E. Thompson, Daniel P. Gardner, Mary Said two dollars each, when there shall be a division of my estate. I do will and hereby appoint my beloved wife Margaret Gardner and my son Zechariah S. Gardner, as my administratrix and administrator of my estate.
