Witnesseth, The Said Lackey for and in consideration of Two thousand Six hundred and thirty two dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath and do by these presents, grant, bargain and Sell to the Said Conn, a certain tract of land Known as the Henry Yater farm, lying and being in Garrard County on Lick Creek, and bounded as follows, viz. Beginning at a point in Lick Creek opposite the mouth of a drain, corner to John E. Broadus, thence up the said creek N47W 12 poles, thence leaving the creek N5-1/4W 19 poles up a branch & with its meanders N14W 32 poles, N26W 21-1/2 poles to John E. Broadus & Ballews Corner, a rock in said branch, thence S83W 38-1/2 poles to a rock, thence with Ballews line S1-1/2W 72-3/4 poles to a stake near a branch on the South Side, thence S88-1/4W 128 poles to a rock, thence S12W 14 poles to a rock, thence S18-1/4W 55-1/4 poles to a Rock on Stagners line, thence S88-3/4E 203 poles to a stake on a branch or drain, corner to John E. Broadus & A. Nicholson, thence down the Said drain & with its meanders N3-1/2E 52 poles, N21E 26 poles to the Beginning, containing one hundred and ten & one half acres, together with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging. The Said Lacky warrants and defends against the claim or claims of any and all persons to the land conveyed in this deed. My hand and Seal day & date above written. Mason, Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do certify that this deed from Gabriel Lackey and Hannah Lackey his wife to Jarred T. Conn, was this day produced to me, at the house of said Lackey in said County, and acknowledged by the Said Gabriel Lackey and Hannah Lackey his wife to be their act and deed according to law. Whereupon the Said deed together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand this 6th day of May 1857. William B.
