All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 March 14, 2014, 9:54 pm Written: December 26, 1814 Recorded: January 16, 1815 Garrard County, Kentucky Deed Book E, page 76-77 This indenture made and entered into this 26th Day of December 1814 between Joseph Gray of Warren county and State of Kentucky, William Drinkard, John Hubbard and John Palmer of Garrard county and State aforesaid of the one part and James Finnel of the Same State and county of Garrard of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of three hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the Said James Finnel the receipt of which they Do hereby acknowledge hath bargained and Sold and by these presents Doth bargain and Sell unto the Said James Finnel one certain tract of or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the county of Garrard and on the Waters of Paint lick creek and bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at a poplar and Dogwood a corner to Dillingham thence S55E 130 poles to a linn & hickory trees thence S21E 130 poles to a beech and white oak trees near the head of a hollow thence S60W 8½ poles to a Stake thence N55° West 178 poles to an elm thence N3°E 108¼ poles to the Beginning, containing eighty five acres to have and to hold the Said boundary and quantity of land with all & every appurtenance thereto belonging unto the Said James Finnel and his heirs forever and We the Said William Drinkard, Joseph Gray, John Hubbart and John Palmer doth hereby Warrant and forever defend the Said 85 acres of land unto them the Said James and his heirs forever from the claim of themselves and their heirs forever.
