All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 March 14, 2014, 11:29 pm Written: September 15, 1834 Recorded: September 15, 1834 Garrard County, Kentucky Deed Book L, page 313-314 No. 397 Jaley Hubbard &c to Johnathan Finnell This Indenture made and entered into this 15th day of Sept 1834 between Jaley Hubbard widow of John Hubbard deceased of the one part and Johnathan Finnell of the other part all of the County of Garrard and State of Kentucky, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred and Fifty Eight Dollars & Eighty two cents to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the aforesaid Jaley Hubbard widow of John Hubbard dec'd hath this day bargained and sold and doth by these presents bargain and sell aliened confirm unto the aforesaid Johnathan Finnell two certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the County of Garrard and State of Kentucky on the waters of Pt. Lick Creek and bounded as follows, to wit the first tract containing thirteen acres one quarter and thirty two poles. Beginning at a stake in a drain on B. Schoolers line a buckeye and white walnut pointers thence down the drain with its meanders North 15 E ?? poles to Lick Creek thence down said creek N71E 40¾ poles thence S51 E 14 poles to a stake in the mouth of a drain thence up the drain S19W 38 poles to a stake in said Schoolers line thence with his line S82W 50 poles to the beginning, the other tract containing twenty two acres two quarters and nineteen poles and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake on Lick Creek corner to John Marite thence with his line N57½ deg. W 64 poles to a beech and hickory trees corner to John Merit and James Finnell thence with J. Finnells line North 51½ West 43 poles to a stake on said line thence South 2° W 76 poles to a stake on the South bank of Lick Creek a sycamore and Buckeye pointers thence S 51 East 14 poles, thence North 80 East 45¼ poles thence N52½E 13¼ poles to the Beginning with all and singular the appurtanances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to him the afsd. Johnathan Finnell his heirs and assigns forever against the heirs and devisees of the afsd. John Hubbard dec'd or any claim by them and against the claim or claims of all and evry person or persons whatever in testimony whereof I the afsd Jaley Hubbard widow of Jno.
