While living in Virginia, later Rockbridge County, Absolom enlisted. In 1832, he was living in Garrard County, Kentucky. He was married 12 Feb 1782 to Leanna Banks. In 1831 Absolom was 71 years old. On May 20, 1839, Leanna was about 74 years old. In 1839, Leanna had a sister name Sally Pendleton, aged 70. Testimony in Garrard County, Kentucky, 12 February 1855, by James M. Pollard aged twenty nine years, a resident of Garrard County. He is administrator of Leanna Pollard decd. Absolom served in the state of Virginia. Absolom died 30 Aug 1835, Garrard County. Leanna died 8 Jan 1845. Leanna and Absolom were married Amherst County, Virginia, by Mr. Holmes, a minister, in 1783. Children: Absalom Pollard, Staunton Pollard, Leanna Naylor, Sarah Naylor, Nancy Herring and Reuben Pollard, all still living.
