OBIT: Alma Johnson, 2003, Barren & Garrard Co. From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 11 May 2003 LANCASTER -- Services for Alma Louise Johnson, 89, of Maplewood Drive will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Jeffries. Burial will be Lancaster Cemetery. She died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital. Born July 17, 1913, in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Letha Cooksey Jolly. She was a teacher, homemaker and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was the widow of R.O. Johnson. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Arnold of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Dr. Marshall Johnson of Elizabethtown; a sister, Gladys Garmon of Glasgow; a brother, Robert Jolly of Bowling Green; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. today.
