OBIT: Ada Speaks Hendrickson, 2002, Garrard & Lincoln Co. From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 15 July 2002 LANCASTER -- Ada Speaks Hendrickson, 90, of Danville Street died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 29, 1911, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mattie Davis Galea Green. She was a homemaker, a member of Lancaster Baptist Church, and the widow of Hamilton Speaks and William Hendrickson. Survivors include four daughters, Georgia Shell of Lancaster, Patsy Walter of Harrodsburg, Linda May of Milton, W.Va., and JoAnn Williams of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl V. Speaks. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Jeffries. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hamilton O. Speaks, Gary Shell, Bland Garrett IV, Josh Garrett, Giles Shell and Jonathan Shell.
