From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 15 Mar 2002 CRAB ORCHARD -- Okie Hoskins Brock, 91, of Crab Orchard died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 18, 1910, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late George and Stella Wilson Hoskins. She was a homemaker and a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church and Crab Orchard Eastern Star. She was the widow of Roscoe Brock. Survivors include five daughters, Joyce Dollins of Crab Orchard, Connie Laswell, Iris Coleman and Susan Wyler, all of Lancaster, and Freda McGohon of Stanford; a sister, Lois Gordon of Danville; two brothers, Homer Hoskins and Howard Hoskins, both of Stanford; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Brown. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McKnight Funeral Home by Ron Harp and Max Hester. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold and Toney Dollins, Ralph and Scott Coleman, Bert McGohon and Paul Wyler. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday.
