From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 6 Apr 2003 LANCASTER -- Juanita Lois Lanham, 79, of Poor Ridge Pike, died Thursday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born Oct. 30, 1923, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Barney "Pete" and Christine Preston East. She was a homemaker and former employee of Cowden's Manufacturing. She was a member of Scotts Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Lanham of Lancaster; a son, Billy V. Lanham of Lancaster, a daughter, Karen McCully of Lancaster; two sisters, Doris R. Preston and Almeda Bruner, both of Lancaster; two grandchildren, three step grandchildren, a great grandson and a step great-granddaughter. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Bryce McCulley and Everett Priddy. Burial will be in Camp Nelson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Holton and Harry D. Howard, Ray and Harvey Miller, Johnnie Lanham and Buford Carpenter.
