Obit: Louisanna Hubbard Lyon, 1903: Garrard County, KY Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Sue Countryman suedow@jps.net Mrs. Louise Anna Lyon died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Noblitt, four and a half miles north of Linden, Wednesday morning, Sept. 2nd, 1903 Mrs. Lyon's maiden name was Hubbard. She was born in Kentucky, Sept. 6, 1829. When a small child moved with her parents to Indiana. In 1848 she was married to Elijah Lyon and moved to Iowa. About 19 years ago, they settled in Missouri where they have since resided. This union was blest with nine children, 5 boys and 4 girls all of whom with the aged father and husband are living. Mrs. Lyon was converted and united with the M.E. church when a young girl and after coming to Missouri, united with the Christian Church at Linden, Mo., baptized by Elder Johnson. She was a faithful and consistent Christian and has left a noble heritage in her true life as a comfort to those who are mourning her departure. Funeral services were held at the Linden Church Sept. 3rd, conducted by Rev. C.O. McFarland of Rockport.
