OBIT: Mary Brown Ramsey, 2002, Garrard Co. From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 14 July 2002 LANCASTER -- Mary Brown Ramsey, 87, of Lexington Street, Lancaster, died Friday at Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Born Oct. 9, 1914, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Phil and Annie Yeakey Brown. She was a member of Lancaster Methodist Church. She was the widow of James H. "Jim" Ramsey, and also was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Wade Ramsey and James David "Jimmy" Ramsey. Survivors include a daughter, Maryann Alquist of Georgetown and two grandsons. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Bob Coppings and Don Hatton. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Jim Werkmeister, Read Baierlein, Ricky Stump, Kenneth Irvin, Jeff Carey and Paul DeShon. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.
