OBIT: William Carpenter; 2003; Fayette & Garrard Co. From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 23 Apr 2003 LANCASTER -- William Clarence "Bill" Carpenter, 52, of Walker Pike, Paint Lick, died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Born May 22, 1950, he was the son of Lucy Conn Carpenter of Lancaster and the late Jimmie D. Carpenter. He was an employee of Malone & Hyde Trucking Co. and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Goins Carpenter of Paint Lick; a son, William K. "Billy" Carpenter of Paint Lick; a daughter, Angela Cash of Lancaster; four brothers, Dallas, Tony, Jerry and Bobby Joe Carpenter, all of Lancaster; two sisters, Delores Hatfield and Shelia C. Adams, both of Lancaster; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa M. Carpenter. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Daryl Hodge. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.
